The Santa Lucia Range drops 4,000 feet steeply
to the ocean, creating one of the most dramatic
landscapes on the west coast. Big Sur includes
parks, beaches, marine reserves and wilderness
unequaled in diversity and scenic beauty. Natural
beauty abounds and several hide aways provide
recluse for the traveller. Favorite restaurants
include the eclectic Nepenthe, arial Ventana and
breath taking Post Ranch but if you are feeling
creative, a picnic lunch can provide opportunities
to see the threatened sea otter or Point Sur
