California's legendary coastline, rugged, dramatic and beautiful. A day's drive down Highway 1 will lead you to scenic views, fabulous restaurants and resorts or engaging trails and coastline.

The Santa Lucia Range drops 4,000 feet steeply to the ocean, creating one of the most dramatic landscapes on the west coast. Big Sur includes parks, beaches, marine reserves and wilderness unequaled in diversity and scenic beauty. Natural beauty abounds and several hide aways provide recluse for the traveller. Favorite restaurants include the eclectic Nepenthe, arial Ventana and breath taking Post Ranch but if you are feeling creative, a picnic lunch can provide opportunities to see the threatened sea otter or Point Sur Lighthouse.

The Sea Otter populations wich once stretched from

Japan to Mexico - now populates the Big Sur coast.
