Pacific Grove -was settled in 1875 as a
Methodists retreat. It is commonly referred to as
"The Last Hometown". Every fall the city is host
to the migration of the Monarch Butterflies. They
cluster in the trees on the West side of town
until spring. It is also where you will find the
oldest working lighthouse on the West Coast at
Point Pinos (1855). The coastline line is rugged
and quite stunning.
